Design Lab Office Assistant

The Design Lab is hiring for 1 UCSD Student Employee for an Office Assistant position working with the Operations team.

Job Description

Student will provide office administrative support for Operations team within Design Lab. Student will report directly to the Sr. Business Manager but will be supervised on a day-to-day basis by the Administrative Coordinator.

Tasks include:

  • Website updates (news articles, new members, events)
  • Preparing and reconciling Concure expense reports and travel and mileage reimbursements
  • Running errands (on-campus)
  • Create reservations for conference rooms through EMS reservation system
  • Arrange for parking for visitors
  • Event support
  • Marketplace supply order purchases
  • Assisting with general office tasks for other office members as needed

Qualifications:

  • Experience working in busy professional office
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Demonstrated skill in using PC-based computers with excellent skills is Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population
  • Knowledge of alpha & numeric filing systems
