Part 2 – “Inclusive UX Design Workshop”
Hosted by UX Speakeasy and Designing Women
Desc: Part 1 – “Culture Shifts: Designing for Diversity & Inclusion”
Diversity and Inclusion are increasingly prescient topics for companies, communities, and the planet, and more information is needed for those who want to make changes that support better practices for building diverse and inclusive cultures. Diversity and Inclusion are not optional–diversity and inclusion must be designed. So what does it mean to intentionally design diversity and inclusion, and more importantly, how do you do it?
This panel brings together a group of panelists experienced with D+I change to share practical cases, tactical techniques, and creative strategies for designing and implementing inclusive and diverse cultures. Following the panel, the panelists will host open break-out dialogue sessions with attendees to further deep engagement with questions and considerations around this challenging work.
This conversation is part of a year long initiative considering Culture Design organized by The Design Lab. We invite attendees for whom these conversations and considerations are brand new as well as deeply familiar. We strive to create a safe and supportive space for everyone, promoting equity regardless of identity, ability, or background, especially encouraging attendance of women as well as underrepresented minorities. Facilitators will be present to support safe and constructive conversations.
World Interaction Design Day is where we come together as a united global community to show how interaction design improves the human condition.
Our aim is to have a positive, long-lasting impact by facilitating activities that support dialogue and outcomes.
Presented in partnership with Adobe and IxDA, we welcome everyone to contribute by hosting activities for their local communities around this year’s theme: Diversity and Inclusion in Design
