Design Co is a pre-professional student organization at UC San Diego that bridges the gap between designers and industry. Our mission is to cultivate a space that fosters opportunity and growth as an inclusive community of designers.
The “Co” means Community, Collective, and Collaborative, which is everything we stand for. We believe that fostering an inclusive design community means collaborating with others and growing with everyone
By combining workshops, events, and other career growth opportunities, we’re taking the challenges of breaking into industry head on and building a strong design community while we’re at it. And yes, it includes you too.
Anyone can be a member of our community. We host events weekly, on Wednesdays at 6:30PM in HSS 1346. Sometimes things change, so we suggest following our Facebook page to stay up-to-date.

Through working on a project, a team member will get experience with designing for social good, involvement in the local community, interviewing local stakeholders, prototyping, testing, and pitching/presenting their work periodically to receive feedback.
Fi is a student-run UX agency at UC San Diego.
When we started Fi, we wanted to find a way to connect aspiring design students to projects that would help them learn and grow their skills in design work.
Now, we have a team of researchers and designers who are prepared to deliver to clients of all sizes, with all challenges.
One of our biggest goals is working outside of the typical UX domain of digital products. We want to help you focus on how to improve customer experience for services, physical spaces, and special events.
