Humanity-Centered Design

In the universe of academic disciplines, we see connections instead of divisions.

Humanity-centered design at the UC San Diego Design Lab transcends disciplinary boundaries and charts new frontiers in design research, education, and practice.

Our mission is to foster design-driven transformation by educating design leaders, imagining alternative futures, and equipping people and communities with the knowledge, tools, and opportunities to address the most pressing societal challenges.

The Design Lab launches the Master of Design

The UC San Diego Master of Design is a two-year graduate program for designers ready to move from making things to shaping systems, and from contributing to leading.
