Seeking PhD applicants to work with the Design Lab research faculty
Although the Design Lab does not have a PhD program, students enrolled in PhD programs in existing UCSD departments can often work on design-related dissertations, working with relevant Design Lab faculty. Prospective students who wish to apply a user-centered system design approach in their research should contact faculty members whose interests seem aligned with theirs. Students can come from any department in the university: note that for such a study program, permission must be granted by both the student’s department and the relevant Design Lab faculty member.
