How to Cook a Tiger and Other Design Fables
In this talk, I will discuss design fables, recipes, and the power of community gathering in design. I’ll look at the ways the material and the geographical are crucial to the way we build and design tech today — whether thinking of the rural and tech or the ways regions are unevenly developed.
About the Speaker
Xiaowei Wang is a writer, PhD candidate and artist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. They are the author of Blockchain Chicken Farm, and recently finished a collaborative new media work, The Future of Memory, which received a Mozilla Creative Media Award in 2019.
